  • Extensive experience conducting title examination, including stand-up title examination, and drafting drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions in Texas and New Mexico.

    Represent operators and mineral owners drafting Mineral Deeds, Affidavits, Stipulations of Interests, and other curative documents.

    Drafts Oil & Gas Leases, JOAs, Pooling and Unit Agreements, Pipeline Right-of-Way and Easement Agreements, and other contractual agreements pertaining to the oil and gas leasehold and surface transactions.

Estate & Probate
  • Represent clients drafting wills and associated documents and conducting probate proceedings.


Valeria is licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico, and her practice focuses mainly on oil and gas title examination in both states. After graduating from law school, Valeria moved to Midland, TX to start her oil and gas practice. There she gained a broad understanding of the energy industry and learned to appreciate the critical importance of rendering good title work. Valeria has represented a variety of oil and gas clients, from small operators to large multinational companies. She enjoys working closely with her clients during the title examination period to help them cure title defects. In addition to Valeria’s title examination and curative practice, she also represents mineral and surface owners in their various oil and gas and surface use transactions and drafts will and conducts probate procedures for clients.

Valeria was born and raised in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. She graduated with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she participated in the Texas Journal of Women and the Law and regularly volunteered with the Legal Services Pro Se Divorce clinic.
