BIO

Philip brings a creative, interdisciplinary approach to his practice. He knows that finding legal solutions requires a deep understanding of the client’s business. Before participating in the Decker Jones summer associate program, Philip interned in the legal departments of a Fortune 1000 oil & gas drilling services company and one of the nation’s largest investment management firms.

After studying finance at Baylor University, Philip earned his J.D./M.B.A. from SMU’s Dedman School of Law and Cox School of Business. Some of his achievements in law school include serving as Editor-in-Chief of the SMU Law Review, obtaining an MBA concentration in Business Analytics, and placing third in a national securities law student writing contest. He has also contributed his time to a regional legal services organization and a growing charity focused on reducing illiteracy among women in India. Outside of the office, Philip enjoys spending time with his wife, Anna, and friends as they explore Fort Worth.
