BIO

Gary M. Moates just celebrated his 20th year at Decker Jones, which is only the beginning of the story. His first year at Decker Jones was in 1973. Then, after a 21-year break where he served as president of a title company, Mr. Moates came back to Decker Jones and has been head of the Real Estate Section ever since.

Mr. Moates is a diehard Texas Longhorn football fan. In addition to be a season ticket holder to all the games, Mr. Moates holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin in Finance. His favorite player, Colt McCoy, is no surprise given Colt’s passion for living a Christ-centered life.

Mr. Moates is, no doubt, not only one of the most experienced but also one of the friendliest members of the Decker Jones family. A Fort Worth native and graduate of Arlington Heights High School, Mr. Moates can’t go anywhere without running into an old friend. This, plus his extensive experience in local real estate transactions, means he is the guy that has seen it all and can answer just about any real estate question there is.
