BIO
In addition to being an experienced business lawyer, Chuck was the managing partner of the Decker Jones firm for over 20 years. Chuck understands what it is like to run a business and is uniquely suited to advise business clients from the perspective of both attorney and business owner/operator. Chuck often acts as general counsel to his business clients, advising on a wide range of issues and coordinating with other Decker Jones attorneys when specific expertise is required. Chuck works tirelessly to insure his clients get the timely, thoughtful legal advice needed to address both the day to day as well as the unexpected issues which arise in running a business in today’s complicated legal and regulatory environment.
For 40 years, Chuck has maintained an active practice of assisting clients with their estate planning needs. Chuck has experience in all matters of wills and trusts for clients with small, medium or large estates. Providing clients with advice on federal estate and generation skipping tax compliance is a significant portion of Chuck’s practice.
Outside of the office, Chuck serves on numerous charitable and civic boards and committees, donating countless hours to causes such as the United Way and the North Texas Community Foundation. Chuck learned from his mentor Robert Decker that giving back to the community was not just an obligation, but a privilege as well.
