PHILIP W. SPENCER NAMED DECKER JONES SHAREHOLDER

FORT WORTH, TX — January 7, 2025 — Philip W. Spencer has been elected shareholder of the full-service law firm, Decker Jones, P.C.

Spencer, a key member of Decker Jones’ business & corporate law group, advises sellers, buyers and their businesses on mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, auctions, reorganizations, divestitures, recapitalizations, equity investments (controlling and minority), joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. He has worked on transactions across numerous industries, including manufacturing, distribution, transportation, energy, insurance, home services, construction, consumer matters, and business and professional services.

After studying finance at Baylor University, Spencer earned his JD/MBA from Southern Methodist University, where he graduated cum laude and served as Editor-in-Chief of the SMU Law Review. Prior to joining Decker Jones as a summer associate and then an associate attorney in 2018, he interned in the legal departments of a Fortune 1000 oil and gas services company and a large investment management firm.
